Environmental Studies
Environmental challenges don’t exist in isolation, and neither should their solutions. Environmental Studies helps you understand how culture, policy, economics, ethics, and the environment intersect, preparing you to engage thoughtfully with the issues shaping our communities and our world.
AAS Urban Forestry and Arboriculture
Forests and trees play a vital role in creating healthier, more resilient communities. In UConn’s two-year Urban Forestry and Arboriculture program, you’ll gain practical skills and industry experience that prepare you to care for the urban forests and green spaces that improve quality of life, support environmental health, and strengthen communities.
Minors
Our department offers minors that allow students to explore specialized areas such as environmental sustainability and conservation, wildlife and fisheries management, forestry, water resources, and climate.
