Extension and Outreach
UConn Extension is a statewide educational outreach system that connects UConn’s cutting-edge research with Connecticut residents and businesses. Through Extension and community-engaged partnerships, the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment works collaboratively with agencies, nonprofits, municipalities, schools, and community organizations to address environmental challenges and strengthen resilient natural and human systems.
UConn Extension Well Water Testing Program
The UConn Extension Well Water Testing Program helps Connecticut residents better understand and protect their drinking water through affordable testing, educational workshops, and outreach. Led through the Connecticut Institute of Water Resources, the program provides homeowners with access to water quality testing, guidance on potential contaminants, and research-based resources that support healthier communities and informed environmental stewardship.
